What is KPV?
KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) is a naturally occurring anti-inflammatory tripeptide derived from the C-terminus of alpha-MSH. It retains the core anti-inflammatory activity of alpha-MSH while being significantly smaller (3 amino acids vs 13), which allows for excellent tissue penetration in research models. KPV is studied extensively for its ability to suppress NF-kB inflammatory signaling, reduce pro-inflammatory cytokines, and promote gut barrier integrity.
VELTRIDE supplies KPV 50mg lyophilized powder at ≥98% HPLC-verified purity with Certificate of Analysis, shipped discreetly across Canada from West Kelowna, BC. KPV is particularly popular in Canadian research programs studying inflammatory bowel disease models, skin inflammation, and wound healing.
Research Highlights
- Suppresses NF-kB — blocks the master inflammatory signaling pathway
- Reduces TNF-alpha, IL-6, and IL-1beta in colitis research models
- Improves gut barrier function — reduces intestinal permeability in IBD models
- Anti-inflammatory skin effects — studied for dermatitis and psoriasis models
- Can penetrate gut epithelium intact — suitable for oral research protocols
- Wound healing acceleration via anti-inflammatory and proliferative pathways
- Synergistic with BPC-157 for comprehensive gut and systemic repair research
Stacks Well With
KPV and BPC-157 are frequently studied together for comprehensive gut repair and anti-inflammatory research. GHK-Cu complements KPV for skin inflammation and wound healing studies. Thymosin Alpha-1 is paired for immune modulation research.
